CHILDREN'S ART STUDIO

ABOUT US
Art Wanderers is a mixed-medium art studio for children to wander and explore through the various ways of art making. Nestled in the Northern California foothills in the historic goldrush town of Coloma, our studio focuses on the art process. This encourages children's self awareness, the development of problem solving skills and helps strengthen imagination and intuitive creativity. We provide a fun approachable space for children to feel nurtured and inspired to create. Our classes offer a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, clay, beading, drawing, weaving and much more.

Carrie Gamble has been teaching children for over 15 years. She has her bachelors in Fine Art with a minor in Psychology. She holds a multiple subject and fine art teaching credential. She taught 4-6th grade in inner city schools where she brought the arts to her classroom everyday. Recently she has taught art at local private schools for children ages 4-12.. While teaching she was on the Visual and Performing Arts committee helping to implement the arts in public education. It's been her experience that children develop creatively when given the opportunity to create in an open ended environment, allowing them to discover their free expression.
